VMPA General Assembly with accompanying Young Researchers Awards and Sustainability Seminar

The VMPA e.V. General Assembly, with accompanying Young Researchers Awards and Sustainability Seminar were held on 29-30 June, hosted by the Institute for Building Materials Research (IBAC) at RWTH Aachen University.

The event, under the theme of sustainability in the construction industry, explored sustainability assessment and approval procedures for new building materials in accordance with the German Committee for Structural Concrete's (DAfStb) new guidelines on non-metallic reinforcements.

The VMPA General Assembly was a milestone moment for the Chair, Andreas Kinzel, who handed over his Chairship to Gabriele Schmidt after 20 successful years of chairing the organisation.

Dr. Kinzel will continue as Board Member in VMPA and actively engaged in EUROLAB Germany as Vice-Chair, while bringing his valuable contributions and leadership in EUROLAB in his position as President
