IMEKO – International Measurement Confederation Joint Conference TC8-TC11-TC24

EUROLAB, represented by Secretary General, Laura Martin, is delighted to have participated in the IMEKO – International Measurement Confederation Joint Conference TC8-TC11-TC24, held on 27–29 August 2026 in Metro Manila, Philippines.

Held under the theme “Leveraging INNOVATION for Future-Ready MEASUREMENTS for Industry, Health and Environment” the international high-level conference brought together experts from across the measurement and conformity assessment community, focusing on the fields of Traceability in Metrology (IMEKO TC8), Measurement in Testing, Inspection and Certification (IMEKO TC11), and Chemical Measurements (IMEKO TC24).

Laura Martin delivered a plenary lecture entitled “EUROLAB – A Strategic Approach to the Lab of Tomorrow.” exploring the key challenges and opportunities facing laboratories and other conformity assessment bodies (CABs) as they navigate a rapidly evolving environment. It also highlighted EUROLAB’s work and initiatives aimed at supporting the community in developing digital and sustainable strategies and preparing laboratories for the future.

The conference offered a valuable opportunity for EUROLAB to exchange views and best practices with international experts, while raising awareness of its activities and projects supporting capacity building for laboratories and other CABs.
