EUROLAB President, Andreas Kinzel, attended the European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR) closing event

EUROLAB, represented by President Andreas Dr. Kinzel Kinzel, attended the closing event of the European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR), held on 7 May in Brussels.

This high-level event brought together policy-makers, scientific leaders and industry stakeholders to reflect on the achievements of the project, co-funded by the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. 

After interesting talks on policy, science, and innovation, industry experts discussed the real-world impact and a vision for the future under the umbrella of metrology.

Metrology, one of the 5 pillars of quality infrastructure, along with standardisation, conformity assessment, accreditation, and market surveillance, is vital for ensuring the accuracy of research and ensuring Europe remains at the forefront of research and innovation.
