EUROLAB has revised its Position Paper on the Impact and Revision of the New Legislative Framework (NLF), initially published in September 2025. The modification highlights EUROLAB’s position on the Digital Product Passport (DPP) as part of the NLF.

EUROLAB supports the DPP as a digital complement to the New Legislative Framework to consolidate compliance evidence, improve safety-relevant version control, and enable more effective market surveillance and circularity.

However, support depends on strict guardrails:

- purpose limitation

- data minimisation

- role-based access

- resilient architecture

- and clear liability rules.
