EUROLAB-D event: A New Beginning in German Accreditation - What Changes Are Already Emerging in the Short and Medium Term

EUROLAB is delighted to have attended the EUROLAB-D event: A New Beginning in German Accreditation - What Changes Are Already Emerging in the Short and Medium Term?


The event brought together experts from laboratory, accreditation, conformity assessment and quality infrastructure to discuss current challenges, regulatory developments and necessary reforms in the German accreditation system.


Secretary General, Laura Martin, gave a presentation during the event with an overview of the current regulatory EU framework including: the revision of the New Legislative Framework (NLF)  and the Standardisation Regulation.

This was also an opportunity to share:
▪️ the EUROLAB position on the NLF, including the Digital Product Passport (DPP) which is available here 

▪️ the recent updates on the EUROLAB actions and projects that support labs and other CABs in facing key challenges in complex regulatory environments and in adapting to the fast pace technological advancements.


EUROLAB President, Andres Kinzel, gave a presentation which highlighted the necessary cultural change in accreditation.


TCQA Chair, Anton Bloth, contributed with insights on "Rethinking Accreditation - Ways to a Service-Oriented Quality Infrastructure"
