EUROLAB Annual Meeting 2026, Varna

The EUROLAB Annual Meetings, held on 16-17 April 2026 in Varna, Bulgaria, represent a key milestone in the EUROLAB evolutionary strategy.

During the General Assembly, held on the 17 April, members approved the revised Articles of Association, thus opening the EUROLAB Association to laboratories and other CABs.

This change represents a vote of confidence for the future of EUROLAB, which will now revise its membership categories, opening its membership to the “White Countries” where the association does not currently have members, as well as enhancing its collaboration and membership to other sectoral organisations active in the conformity assessment sector.

The meeting also gave members the opportunity to elect the new Vice President and Board Members.

We would like to congratulate:

  • (re-)elected Board Member: Alexander Šafařík-Pštrosz, EUROLAB-CZ;

  • Newly elected Board members, Jean-Marc Aublant, EUROLAB France, and Andreas Schmidt, Austrolab,

  • Newly elected Vice-President, Klaus Fuchs, Swiss Testing Labs/ EUROLAB-CH.

On 16 April, the Technical Committee for Quality Assurance (TCQA) also met to discuss the strategic plan of the four Working Groups, including the key actions, projects and upcoming priorities around digitalisation, accreditation and standardisation, sustainability and revision of technical documents and CookBooks.
