EUROLAB inquiry : Use of the accreditation symbol and accreditation with Flexible Scope : results
In 2006, the EUROLAB representatives proposed to the EA Laboratory Committee to organise and conduct an inquiry to have the most reliable views of the European laboratory community on the use of the accreditation symbol by the laboratories and about practices of the European accreditation bodies regarding the accreditation with flexible scope. The final report on EUROLAB inquiry is now available

IMEKO TC 11 Metrological Infrastructure (www.imeko.org) organises International Symposium: “Metrology, testing, and accreditation – breaking the trading barriers” in Cavtat, Dubrovnik, Croatia, 12 – 15 November 2008(www.rmo2008.org) The aim of the Symposium is to bring together International Organisations – BIPM, OIML, and ILAC, and Regional Metrology and Testing Organisations (RMO’s). Representatives of the international organisations and chairpersons of RMO’s will describe functioning and prospective of their organisations. The representatives of the National Metrology Institutes (NMI’s) will be invited to present their efforts and to discuss hot topics and challenges. Information and Call for Papers are available.

EAQC-WISE workshop - June 17 and 18, 2008 in Belgium
Today's data quality for tomorrow's decisions on water quality
Joining forces to build a sustainable European QA/QC system for WFD monitoring -
The workshop deals with quality assurance issues for monitoring in the context of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and is meant for those involved in water related activities across Europe. The EAQC-WISE aims to establish a quality control system which would coordinate tailor-made proficiency testing activities, research and training at EU level. The ultimate objective is to develop a sustainable pan-EU QA/QC system for water. More information on this project can be found on the following website : www.eaqc-wise.net

EURACHEM 2008 6th International Workshop on Proficiency Testing
This workshop will take place in Italy (Rome) from October, the 6th to October the 7th, 2008. Two half day training courses are organised on the 5th.
