PLG - Objectives

The aims of the PLG formed jointly between EA and EUROLAB are to co-ordinate and promote the co-operation between the communities of laboratories and accreditors: problem analysis and proposals to exchange experience on the development and application of EA -documentation and other relevant documents to identify project proposals on aspects of quality in laboratories and of accreditation and allocate them to existing or new task forces when appropriate and with the agreement of EA and Eurolab to harmonise the work of existing and new common Working Groups and Task Forces reporting to PLG and to secure a proper flow of information between these and EA, Eurolab and sectoral organisations to follow actively Working Groups and Task Forces that are of interest for EA and Eurolab but that do not form part of them to promote competent and cost-effective operations of testing and calibration laboratories. EA and EUROLAB are represented by five members each and a joint co chairmanship is used.
